Question:From the cards (though this one I don't feel a connection)

QUEEN OF WANDS

I took a seed
and planted it;
watched it grow,
gave it sun,
gave it rain.

The rose bloomed,
but the thorns
made me bleed.

Odd how I love them,
as much as
the rare and scented petals.

Odd how,
though they sting,
they are more beautiful.

A rose is the personification of love, it's as hard to tend as a child, and as hard to control as a man. Not enough care and it will die, just as love. It must be nurtured to flourish.

To me it's about attractive women-

though they may be nice to look at, it really hurts when they sting.

A mother,
a shepherd,
loving the black sheep
as much as
the untainted
flock.

Blessed Be

It's not all that odd. Sometimes pain stimulates the emotions and leads us to peace and beauty. In my own life I've needed to feel my pain before I could heal emotionally. I'm on that quest now. This is what I believe you're feeling at the moment. Go with it.

Hmmmm. Yummy.

There's not much pizazz here. The resolution is too obvious. I get the feeling that it is a cliche masquerading as a profundity. My therapeutic advice is to leave this one aloe for a while and come back to it afresh.

"He reminds me of someone.." He being your poem...But i don't care to elaborate on that one..Oh the lure of the ungetable get..Often people love the thing that hurts them...the more something hurts the harder people usually try to obtain it..Gosh now i think I'm just repeating myself...

Lovely poem about my all time favorite flower.
Why is it that we are most attracted to the things or people that hurt us?
Boggles the mind.

the moments of beauty while they last
never go without a warning.

take jazz2345 for instance.... hahaha!

You don't need therapy sweetie...your poems are indeed therapy to poetry addicts like us. Your poetry is the food to our artistic soul.

'Tis true...like unconditional love, the truest form of love: Though they sting, the longer they sting...they are more beautiful!
