Tennyson, Robert Frost, Billy Collins I like Robert Frost, I like some of Walt Wittman, oscar wilde... I'm not heavily into poetry, the same way that I am into novels and theatre, but I do have soft spots for: Tennyson Pope Plath Whitman and Sassoon. Homer , John Donne , Milton , Rossetti , Poe , Siegried Sassoon , Emily Dickinson , e.e.cummings , T.S.Eliot , and a lot of others ! :0) James Douglas Morrison. shel silverstein for sure. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your class! Just about the only poets I like (though there are a few exceptions) are those of the Romantic Era, and maybe a select few from the Victorian Era. William Wordsworth John Keats Lord Byron Percy Bysshe Shelley William Blake Robert Browning Just to name a few Honestly, I don't really like modern poetry. That's just my opinion. |
