Question:The Teddy Bear

Teddybear,
keeper of my childhood secrets,
I held you close at night.
A child in innocent slumber
til the morning light,
you were my confidante.
You held all my tears.
When I wept you were there
to keep away my fears.
I remember you,
so soft yet so strong,
when I grew up I put you away.
O, has it been that long?
Out of the tattered box I found
I take you away with me
from the attic where memories are kept,
And with my heart I'll set you free.
Time has not touched your perfect heart.
You remain strong and true.
I will give a special child
the wondrous gift of you.
