Question:Hi. I sent an email to Yahoo answers regarding a question I posted on the poetry page this is the response I received.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Yahoo!7 Customer Care. I understand your point, but Y! Answers is there to ask questions, not to post poetry. If you want to display your art, you should open a 360 blog. Cheers, JacksonCustomer Care SpecialistYahoo!7 Customer Care.

The following is the original email I sent them:

Dear Jackson, I understand this concept and I have abided by the rules and regulationsof Yahoo answers. I have considered my content very carefully before posting. If you review the question I posted, you will find that it wasin relation to gathering feedback and important critique regarding poetry in the Arts and Humanities>Poetry section. My question was aimed at gathering knowledge in the hopes to improve my work as I am an ametuer poet.

That is a shame. I enjoy reading the poetry here (most of the time when its not just someone making fun of it). I think looking for feedback as a way to improve through contructive criticism is information seeking. I've had the privilege to read a few real budding talents. I think posting poetry is being seen as a "Do you think I'm cute? " question.
It is important that if people post poetry that they show they are interested in the feedback by choosing a best answer.
There are a lot of poems that get posted, the answers have no thumbs up or down and the author lets it go to vote with no additional comments. It shows no real interest in anything but hearing, "Oh wow I love it!".
Maybe what you could do is ask a constructive question when you post, something like,"Hi I've been struggling with the imagery in the 2nd paragraphs. Any suggestions?".
That is information seeking. It gives people more to work with then "What do you think? Do you like it?" This is an invitation to chat. Personally chatting doesn't bother me, but it must annoy someone if they reported you.
Hopefully you will repost your work with a concrete question so we all get a chance to read it.
Good luck.

there is always someone that wants to make a stink about something especially if its happens to be something they cant do themselves. the poems here are very good and i saw nothing wrong with what you were doing. there is always legal ways around things, ie:," tell me what is wrong with this poem", that would then be in the form of a question and then falls within the guidelines of what Y! Q&A are about. its always a pleasure to read your work, thanks.

Had the same last week and the same type of response. You get the impression it's the copy and paste approach. I reposted my question and the world moved on. Until the system changes as many who advised me said, learn to adapt and conquer! Conquer, now that's a word. A side note, I enjoy your verses or should I say: "Do I enjoy your verses?"
