Position:Home>Poetry> Compare Paul 1 Corinthians 13 to William Shakespeare’s Sonnet 29?

Question:Now I love a good Sonnet, but you should provide examples.

A quick study shows Corinthians 13 is about Christian love and introduces the concept of selfless love which is for honesty, trust, free of envy and pride. Also, I think this teaching is where the idea of christian charity comes about.

Looks like the Sonnet 29 is about the interference of the state closing down Shakespeare's theater due to plague, and he's a poorer soul as a result. Seems like he is a poorer soul as a result and envies others.
