What is your definition of poetry?

Question:To me, poetry is everything- its all the emotions, the feelings, the life that is around us. It's everything inside and outside. Poetry can be sad, happy, excited, or even all of that in one. poetry is like a song- not everyone understands it. But the person who wrote it... understands it more than anything -- that person feels it... its like the music to their life.... it's their story. Its a way of expressing yourself with no regrets. It's just about you - the way you feel on the inside -- while looking at it from the outside.

Poetry for me is the plucking of my heart strings. I believe that different types of poems affect each of us differently.

For me I love poetry that sings to me and creates images inside my head that are beautiful and emotionally moving.
