Someone who puts thought, emotions, events into an artistic written form. Someone who can provide a voice for others so that ideas get heard. Someone who can find the beauty mundane objects, tasks, and people. It's not about being paid or recognized. It's about writing from the heart.

Someone who speaks from their heart about life or what they feel to be true.

A writer is someone who uses the right words. A poet is someone who uses the right words in the right order.

Just a man or woman who writes poems of his or her own creation.

A poet is someone who pours down his /her ideas powerfully and in a rhythmic manner- which is appealing to the readers.
Right use of words, use of artistic phrases etc. make a good poetry- and a- good poet.

A poet is a brother speaking to a brother of a moment of their lives - a moment that has been buried beneath the dust of the busy world.

dare i scrawl these words?
un-written yet spoken in silence
within hearts of all?
a step so bold so un-sure.
i await in waiting for someone to see,
to understand.

I was once told that when I wake up in the morning and my first words are" I am a poet"Than a poet I shall be.seeing and believing are two different things. You can be what ever you believe to be and never let anybody tell you different!!!!!!
