Position:Home>Poetry> Poem for my great grandma on easter...what do you think?

Question:your always nice to talk to
I love hearing about your past
I just can't believe
how much time has passed

i remember long ago
swimming in the lake
or fishing off the dock
till our skins baked

going on boat rides
were always so much fun
or playing in the backyard
were we would just run

the chocolate popciles
were such a great treat
They were always so refreshing
In the summer heat

I remember the toys
playing with them on the floor
they always brough me so much joy
I really did adore

The memories at your house
I will never forget
thank you for those good times
And many more to come yet

This is a poem for my 95 year old grandma for easter, please tell me what you think. Please don't pay any attention to gramma. Thanks

My fav :
"I remember the toys

I can remember times when I was younger thinking man I love this and as I got older thinking back that they didnt even know what was so small brought me so much joy ...

great poem

TEAR!!! i loved it and so will she. give it to her as an easter present. very very very well done

I like it alot. I think it may bring back memories to her. I strongly believe she will love it.

(tear)(sniff)(sniff)awww...CUTE!!!!it actually DID make me cry

That's really nice. She'll love it.

Good job...it's sweet. I'm sure that she'll love it! What an amazing great-granddaughter you must be.

Excellent, she will surely smile. Flow wise try the following changes:

"or fishing from the dock"
"till our skins were baked"
"they were always so great"
"they always brought so much joy"
"and the many more to come"

It was awesome. If you would like I would love to do the poem in caligraphy. It would take a few weeks after this sunday for I am moving to KY From RI. So it is going to take about 2 days of driving. My email is david_pugsley@yahoo.com
