Question Home

Position:Home>Poetry> Do u like my poem? should i enter a contest with it? and what is ur opinion?

Question:ok first i am only 12 (almost 13) i write spiritul poems and even tho i am only 13(well almost...lol) i can take whatever u say! and i know there are prob grammar mistakes(commas, line breaks, etc.) but i am fixing those later

As the cross I have a duty

I know I have a duty to hold the perfect man alive,
until He dies.
I do not like Him suffering
or the nails in my sides.
I see His mother kneeling down by my side crying,
“Why, oh, why does my son have to die?”
That isn’t too hard to answer,
because if this man didn’t make the sacrifice of his life,
you couldn’t have eternal life

Excellent -- your personification is perfect!

I like it and yes I think you should enter it into a contest. Best of luck.

I love ittt!

Great work, would be a good contender for a contest.

I am honored by your request. However, being a Jew makes me an outsider in regard to your focus. I do not feel that I can serve you well. I hope you understand that no criticism or judgment is implied by this statement, and I hope that you do not judge me either. I encourage you to continue writing, because it will enhance both your spiritual growth and your craftsmanship as a poet.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may He cause His radiance to shine upon you.

P.S. If I can help you in other ways, I would be happy to do so.
