He's sitting alone
On the side of the sand box
Hoping for a friend

The other kids look
And wonder who that boy is
They all approach him

At first he is scared
When one asks, "Hey, what's your name?"
He says, "My name's Dave"

The kids grow silent
And one says, "Wanna play tag?"
Dave is not alone

Sour fit,
The soaking dye,
Acceptance grin.

That's it! Sorry if it didn't sound so great.

If someone is odd,
Accept them for who they are,
That is acceptance.

Unprecedented,
Showing feelings of anguish,
Gods' army of rain.

Winter wonderland,
Soft, white fluff envelops earth.
A warm smile of joy.

I don't write haikus,
The words don't flow to me well,
It's not my nature.
