Question:I Am Anne Frank
Natalie Teeter
Period 4

I am Anne Frank.
I hear nothing but silence during the day, but many unique voices in my mind.
I see the pages of my dear diary become older and older as the days pass by.
I say things I do not mean to say, but what are words when people always use them as freely as a bird of whom can fly anywhere?
I cry over all the troubles and misfortunes others have to go through in the concentration camps where death is as common as a word in a story and hope is like a spring flower in the middle of winter.
I am Anne Frank.

I am Anne Frank
I feel sorrow for others—friends and strangers—who have to work day after day in the concentration camps, and all the faith they once might’ve had, is most likely gone.
I try desperately to show my good side to the world, but I never seem to prevail; only ending up showing the dreadful and unpleasant side of myself.
I dream of getting through this time in my life and becoming a woman who is unafraid to

I think you are a talented writer. It's refreshing to see 7th graders who not only show strength in grammatical usage, but also have a passion for writing. This isn't apparent in many kids (or people, for that matter) these days.
I think you should explore poetry more in depth. It seems as if you're a good writer, albiet green. Read as much poetry as you can. Go through all the eras of writing; midevil renaissance, romantic era, the enlightenment, modern and post modern. Get a feel for what structure each era was famous for and the ideas each era expounded on. For example, L. hughes was considered midevil renaissane. Try writing in the manner of each era; romantascism was marked by self conciousness, modern and post modern focused on philosophical ideas and expounded on the enlightenment. Familiarize yourself with the history of poetry. This will strengthen your own writing.
I would recommend taking all english elective classes you have available. You're talented and could learn a lot.

Not corny. For a 4th grader, this is good. Just to point out a small issue, in line 5 (as I see it now):
"as a bird of whom can fly anywhere?"

The "of whom" can be omitted because it makes that sentence unbelievably awkward. Use either "that" or "who".

It could be tighter but for extra credit in the 4th grade, it's okay.
