Position:Home>Poetry> Wrote this poem today, how is it? What can I change & what does it make you thinQuestion:A mystery Once Again This mystery Once again A repeating history Complete with sorrow, joy and pain Wrapped in fate's fury The division quite blurry Between insane and sane Everybody in a hurry Their painful run in vain Why all the sorry worries For nothing but a game? Life's a mystery story A history once again P.S. I was not depressed when I wrote this, I was making fun of life so don't misinterpret it and I wrote this in math when we had a sub, I finished my work and I love math so there is no way this can be a depressed poem. The key to this poem's success is the musicality that comes from the repetition of rhyme and sound. The genius of the poem is that these repetitions actually decrease the reader's ability to comprehend the intellectual content, which thereby increases the coherence of the argument. The argument of course is that life is difficult to comprehend - a mystery. Did you know that you were doing this? 'Their painful run a gain' now its not depressing! Very interesting. I'm glad you weren't depressed. It's funny that you wrote it in math class. Were you studying long division, Lol! |
