Question:I think its by Ralph Emerson but im not sure.
It was featured in the city of angels movie when the angel was in the library listening to people's thoughts. One line i remember is:
"It was as if a young person had died without reason"...something like that. i cant remember anything else...anyone know??

It is a quote by Ernest Hemingway. The name of Hemingway is referred to several times in the script of "City of Angles" (the link for the script is below) Here is the full quote:
