Position:Home>Poetry> Do you like this extended metaphor poem?

Question:It's about sadness and rain.
This is for my homework, and I never write poems, so it may not be that good.

As I sat next to the gloomy, darkened window
Sadness came upon me
One drop came flowing down
Piercing the cold floor
Harder now
Drowning all the sunlight from the room
Soon a storm of deep sorrow came pouring from my eyes
How shall I make it stop?
As I sat there hopeless and weary
A ray of happiness filled my mind
Which overtook the cold misery
And I burst into a beam of delight

i like how you contrasted light and darki nyour poem!!!! the last 2 lines amaze me and are full of spectacular imagery and devices!!! you talk about cold and misery and use words that have to do with light to chracterize it. its brilliant! keep up the good work!

very poetic, very pretty. Yes I like

No, I don't like it. It's a real downer. Take up a new hobby.
