Question:Swimming thru life on my magical carpet
wherever I may roam

Floating on the threads of spiritual connection
to the place that I call home

I've never known how to walk and stand
concept befalls me

I only know how to float and flip
to create my own destiny.

It makes me visualize the comprehensible manifestation of the mind of a "free spirited" person. It shows their mental state of being in a way that can be understood in human terms. They go through life at their own pace, ignoring conventions that place limits on them or try to dictate to them, and travel in their mind more than they travel in the real world. This sounds like a highly highly spiritual and mental person.

It makes me think of a spirit without a body floating on a cloud.

Poetry is great because to the reader it can mean a thousand things, no one interpretation will be the same and its author will have a totaly different take on it than thier readers, to me i see life and taking each day as it comes,

almost any character in a Hans Christian Anderson story.

It's really good I like it how it makes people think differently when they read this.

It makes me think of a

A Boat that is made to fight against the storms :)

By the way, thanks for commenting on my poem :)

But the way I wrote it was actually towards Drugs and Alcohol, not Obesity but I like it how I made people think differently than the way I intentional want it to be read.

Have an awesome day dude :)

P.S.

Nobody has been commenting at another poem that I have just posted, sorry if this constitutes as spaming or whatever :P

I belive I can fly....very nice, it leaves me with a sense of weightlessness. Thank You for sharing

a leaf floating in the air and going with the flow of the winds propelling it

That is a new one for me: float and flip to create my own destiny! The threads are the anchor, the bastion from which you journey. Since you use the word spiritual, the threads to me refer to religion, morals and teachings. Having such a strong base, flipping and floating is easy! Well said.
