Position:Home>Poetry> What kind of poetry do you write?

Question:One of the things that helps me console myself is writing poetry. I find it very therapeutic. I usually write about fleeting sensations - poetry is good for immortalising them. Although I am afraid most of what I write sounds like confabulation. Reading through what I've written in the past is like unearthing some strange puzzles. Gah...what can I say? Not everyone is given a talent *sigh*.

songs of despair...

comical!

poems about the love of my life, and things that happened to me in my lifetime.

I write free verse poetry. I take inspiration from my life. Usually when I'm "blocked" I take a stab at form poems so that I keep writing. Or I read the poetry of others.
