Position:Home>Poetry> Poetry trainwreck?Question:Hello to all. We are mimicking William Blake's idea of innocence in his book, in case that matters. I'm writing a poem about my lack of understanding of the concept of death that I underwent as a child. I don't exactly what to write. I wanted to write me as a child at a funeral looking into the coffin in confusion. I have no idea how to start it out or how to let my innocence of myself as a child shine through. Any ideas of what my next couple of lines could be? A parade of black, shuffling into a hall, each holding a flower, _________________. I want an ABCB rhyme pattern and don't know what to write for the last line of the first stanza. I also don't know what to write for the next couple of lines. Anyone want to help?
