Yeah. Be descriptive. Tell about the way it affects you and what you feel when you have come in contact with them. What you look like, you feel, you see and think. Tell about the whole experience.

sure why not. alot of people are and poetry is a great way for people to express there feelings. go for it.

Pablo Neruda wrote an ode to an onion. Great paintings have featured a bowl of fruit or a vase of flowers. The subject need not matter at all. It is what the artist makes us see about it that counts. It is all part of the miracle that is Creation, and it all can be created anew.

Anything can be a poem - it's up to you to make it a good read. Good luck!
