Question Home

Position:Home>Poetry> I need help on the last verse of my poem, please?

Question:The verse goes.
Love is like luck
So if you search far
You'll find what you seek
'You'll get your superstar.
I think 'superstar' is so cliche, and kiddie like. I need a more grown up verse to end it all, but it has to rhyme with 'far'. Sorry, but this is a rhyming poem. (arrgghh)
Thanks for any suggestions.

"like a song played by guitar"
how is that??? :-)

how about:
and hit the triple bar

or:
So if you search far
just like in slots
you'll hit the triple bar

I'm sorry , too , but none of it has rhythm :
your 1st line has 4 syllables , your 2nd has 5 ; the 3rd again has 5 , while the 4th has 6 ! Rhyming is not only about similar-ending last words .....
Incidentally , do you find luck if you seek it ?

Rythm in heart
