Question:I have to write an essay on romantisism and the I have to use three pieces to illustrate it. I am going to write it about how romantics grasped nature and the supernatural so I was going to use these three poems:

"The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by Coleridge(To show the repocutions of nature when we defy it)

"Lines Written in Early Spring" by Wordsworth (To show the power of nature to calm the human mind)

"Tintern Abbey" Wordsworth (To show the beauty of nature)

So I really need help with coming up with a thesis statement.

Romanticism (1798-1870) was a school of thought which was voiced in literature, politics, history, and philosophy.

The Philosophy of Romanticism is:

Characteristics of Romanticism is:
-Sensibility
-Primitivism
-Love of Nature
-Sympathetic interest in the past, especially the medieval
-Mysticism

-Predominance of imagination over reason and formal rules
-Psychological desire to escape from unpleasant realities

Poets and Authors of Romanticism are:

Poets: Wordsworth, Shelley, Keats, Blake,Byron & Coleridge
