Write a first person point of view poem?

I found a flower dying upon a grassy hill
I felt like it was crying for it was wilting and was still.
Sadly I knelt beside it and with a mournful heart
gently there I picked it suddenly with a start
an angel came to tell me that because I shed a tear
for a lowly dying flower close to heaven I drew near.
For what sort of person showed such compassion
for such an unimportant thing?
Who could have just imagined what sorrow such a sight
would bring?
And the angel said God blessed me because of this act
I did.
All because a flower was mourned by just a little kid.
