Black

Black is for depression,
The sadness,
The sorrow of someone's death;
The lonliness one feels
When the one dearest to you
Is snatched
By the devil's hands.

Black is for death.
The color one wears at a funeral.
Black is for the raven
who watches and lives
On the frightness of others,
The black of the mysterious night sky
Above that is filled with
Stars and magical full moon.

Black is for the darkness in the night,
When black cats seem to roam
In the shadows.
Black is the color rebels worship.
Black is the color of secrets;
Of mischief.
Black is the dark mysterious
Eyes that watch when you sleep.
The eyes that haunt you
In your dreams,
converting them into nightmares.
Black is the fear
And animosity in everyone's hearts.

Black in your poems means what black means to you and not anyone else thinks. If it is your poem you should describe how black is to you and i think you've done that.

I was expecting a black cat and there was a black cat. Try not to make everything so predicable. Like a black magician's hat how you can give deatials to it instead of a cat.

I would give it a 8 out of 10

and if you want to go with the other people of what they say (whcih i wouldn't but that's me) its your choice

i think its good..... but i don't like how dark it is (trust me--i'm essentially a dark person, but this is like really really dark!) but yeah i like it.

I think this could be made better if it were shorter and very stark, like the color it describes.

Try setting this aside for a couple of months and then coming back to it. Try to distill your thoughts down to the core essence of what you're trying to say, and write that.

And then let me read it, because I'm dying to see what you come up with!

What is black?
A taste of the blind
fear at the most
a lack of flavour
disguised as white lilies
a misconception/deciever

funeral- i wouldn't say black would be right here because depends on different cultures

hmm, 1-10 about a 7. i love the rhythm and all. but i don't like the way you made black seem. the color black can also be good to some people. personally i don't like black either....but i know lots of people who love it, and that's not true.

I really do like your poem but black is not always bad. It can also save an animal's life when it blends into the night so that a predator doesn't see it. Black pepper spices up food. Blackness of the night helps you to sleep better or at lest me. It has to be dark for me to sleep. I simple can not sleep well in the light. But your poem is very good written wise.
