Thinking of giving this poem to my parents...please tell me what you think?

The pain that I’m in
The constant worry
That I feel within

The fact that you don’t care
Makes it that much worst
You joke about it all the time
And that really hurts

I can’t have what I love
And it makes me want to cry
I sit in my room at night
Thinking to myself why

I watch other people
Enjoying life without a worry
Why is my life so different
I’m always in a hurry

So try and understand
What is like to be me
Listen to my words
Hear my plea

Oh, good god, do NOT give it to them on Valentine's Day, those people who recommend that don't understand your condition or the poem.

Give it to them tomorrow, and just tell them that you couldn't figure out a way to say what you needed to in any other way.

I wish you very, very good luck, and hope that your IBS goes away very soon. And if it doesn't, I hope that somehow you find a way to deal with it. If you do, please share it with others who suffer with it.

Thats an amazingly talented poem. you should show your parents.

Give it to them on a special occasion: i.e. Valentine's Day (friendship and Love day; during holidays people become more sensitive to others/their feelings).

But above: Keep on living, learning, and writing.
