OK my dad just told me that i may be an indigo child due to my insight, and intelligence!.!.!. but i found out that there can be indigo adults and everything!? he also said that 95% of kids born in 1995 were indigo children!.!.!.i just want some more info on this kind of stuff!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Typically indicates that the person is mature, insightful, and is motivated and governed by his/her own beliefs rather than societal conventions, with an over-riding concern and mission for improving human condition and raising consciousness!. There have always been indigo children - saints, sages, and enlightened persons are all indigo children!. My mother was one, and she was born 90 years ago!.!.!. Conventional wisdom is that with the coming of the new age, more and more indigo children will be born, and their lack of interest in conventional values and their concern for raising consciousness will help usher in a new era of enlightenment!. It's kind of heavy label and responsibility to saddle someone with!. I tend to discourage people from using it - it raises so many expectations!. I'd rather be known for who I am and what I do, rather than someone else's expectations of enlightenment and world salvation!.!.!. I've never heard anyone mention any particular year, or anything about 95% of all births in 1995!. I might look around at your peers and consider if they all seem to be enlightened beings focused on raising human consciouness before I accepted that!.!.!. Another term that is sometimes used, and I think is more descriptive and useful is 'old soul' - indicating that the soul is mature and wise as if it had the knowledge, wisdom, and experience of many previous lifetimes available to it!. They're supposed to have "indigo-colored auras" and psychic abilities, and a lot of vague astrology-istic crap that could apply to everybody!. Now that the New Agers have given up on the Celestial Aliens coming to save them all, this is the new Thing To Believe In (TM)!. In another 20 years, when the "Indigo Children" grow up to be accountants and lawyers and such, just like everybody else, it'll be something different!.
