G It is a long term for being aware of the reality that life is individual AND collective!. Just because you can discern different aspects does not mean that those aspects are separate from the whole!. A living fish is not separate from the water and you are not separate from the stars that formed your elements or any of the influences through history or your current environment!.
This state sounds mysterious only because knowledge of how to get there is jealously guarded by the hierarchies who have techniques to get there!. Some work better than others and some sell conditions just a bit wider than customary as a big change!.
Those kind of changes like cosmic consciousness and unity with all are just side effects for people learning something genuinely valuable!. That genuinely valuable state is learning how to reveal innate greatness and being able to help others at the same time as part of daily life!. I've had several big experiences of expanded consciousness and then realized that this is fun, but getting rid of the hurt in the world is more important and ultimately more fun!.

To me it is a level of consciousness that we can only reach with practice!. It is often the outcome of relaxation meditation and tireless mind training!.

Sounds like a lot of trouble but the rewards more than make up for the effort!.
