"Only one who renounces everything possesses the strength to transcend anything!."

It doesn't make sense linguistically!. Unless I'm misunderstanding the use of the word "renounce" in this context (which I probably am) to renounce everything means not to possess anything, including the strength to transcend stuff!. But Buddhism doesn't put much weight on logic or language, so I guess I'm just being a dick!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Are you familiar with Hayakawa and his take on the sane human being!?

I can't relay in its entirety, but, basically the sane human being (not sane in the conventional sense of the word, you'd have to check that out for yourself,) questions everything, experiences everything each time with renewed fervor, and isn't fazed by societal conventions - in a nutshell!.

In accordance with that, yes, it'd be humanly possible (albeit very rare) if in fact, that person were sane by Hayakawa's standards!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Renounce does not mean to deny, my friend!. You allow anything to exist but withdraw completely yourself from anything!.!.That is very possible!. It is a state in which all saints are!. They do not belong to anything earthly!.!.Not of this world!.Once you figure it out for yourself, welcome to Sainthood!. Although, you will be accepted as any Saints were, only after departure!. Before that keep yourself from trouble!.!.In a wood under tree would be ok!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have never met anyone able to achieve such a thing, but who's to say it might not be humanly possible if the person really believed renouncing everything to be the ultimate goal of life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Idk, but buddha should not offend anyone!. Im not religious, but just because someone believes in something else it shouldn't offend people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
