hey alex!. this isnt a dumb question at all!

1) school has helped me a lot with social skills!. If it wasn't for school, I would probably be shy!. Communication skills are VERY necessary!.
2) I don't think school was a waste of time at all!. Sometimes I felt the things we learned inside a classroom was useless, but you can still find things to connect through what you learned in school to everyday life!.
3) i'm not sure where I stand on this question!. Reason being, if someone isnt willing to learn, and is forced, they aren't going to learn anyway!. So whats the point forcing them!?
4) I would say the interaction with people that helped me more!. I've always been better at oral communication rather than book smarts!. I just find it an easier method of learning!.

hope this helped!Www@QuestionHome@Com

With daily life I believe it helps out a lot with making judgments and problem solving!. It's hard to think about what you would be like without any formal education though!.

Not really school being a waste of time in general, but at times I've believed certain subjects were a waste of time!.

School should be forced because it also teaches morales and values and will lead to a better world!. With an education you have access to so many more jobs, and might not fall towards the path of crime!.

I personally like reading through the science books, but not so much the books of any subject!. I also believe that you need human interaction to help educate people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It makes me stressed, it's given me eyebrows, it made me faint of fatigue (for the first time), it makes my already low resistance to sicknesses worse, it annoys me, it gives me a hard time, it's keeps me from getting enough sleep, it eats up my time, it makes me too busy for time with my family, and it makes me too busy to play the piano and to do other stuff that I very much enjoy!.!.!.

!.!.!.and it has made me a smarter person who not only gained knowledge from it, but wisdom as well, and now I pretty much know how to live life, how to go about things and how to treasure them, and though there's so much due next week (plus the tests), I guess I can say that I'm thankful that we have school - that we're pretty much forced to go to school!.

Yay!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

2) School is not a waste!. It's only a waste to wasted people who doesn't want to be successful!.

3) Learning should be forced!. If they make it voluntary the world will just get worse!. If you have an education you don't have to go around and steel!.

4) Interaction with people cause that's what you really need to do after school / college in your workplace!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

To SniffSnaff: learning can not be forced!. Anyone that believes that is self-delusionary!. Children learn through play!.

You will be learning for a life time!. People are finishing careers and going back to school to learn something new!. I just finished a course on teaching English last week!. I am considering getting another advance degree!. I have been in and out of school most of my life whether it be college, job related or curiosity!. People are living longer and many don't want to vegetate!. They are taking up new careers, going back to school or in general learning new things whether it be a new hobby or just plain curiosity!.

I live in Germany today!. I have had to learn German!. I guess that helps my daily life!.

Sure, I have had periods in my life where I felt school was a waste of time!. I have taken courses where I barely got by!. I remember taking two courses in college!. I took a course, theories of communication and a seminar in mass communication!. Theories of communication was difficult, but I enjoyed the course!. I aced the class!. The seminar in mass communication was quite easy, but I was bored!. I barely passed!. My head professor had to call me in and discussed this situation!.

I think those who have a real good handle on what they want to do can better navigate themselves through school and through life in general!. You will probably be going to school or getting new training several times in life!. I went in judo to help my son get better in his competitions!. I needed to understand the techniques as well!. I took up landscaping after the military and got my journeyman's license!. I had to do it in German!. In the military, I was in military intelligence and learned morse code!. We were the first generation to switch over to computers so we had to learn a complete new way of working with a screen!. There was a period when everything was hard copy and teletype!. I started teaching so I had to learn go back and learn teaching techniques and theories!. In the military, I had several different jobs!. One job was training NCO!. Part of my job was getting soldiers not only trained, but educated!. I was sending soldiers off to college courses!.

I think learning should have a focus and goal!. Somethings are a must to learn!. There is no easy way around it, but there are gifted instructors who can make learning fun!. You are lucky when you get one!.

I think it was both, books and interaction with people!. I presume you are in high school!. Actually, I got tired of school my senior year so I took DECA and worked part time!. My first two years I was at a private school that was college prep and stressed being active in different activities!. I switched to public school and concentrated only on basketball, DECA and working part time!.

Today, there are master degrees in "life long learning" and "adult education" !.

Today, I live in Germany!. Before I go to tour a city for weekend, I like to read up on the city so I know something about it before walking around lost!.

Learning is a life long activity!. Learning keeps your mind younger, and you will live longer!. Learning keeps you interested in life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, school has helped me in a negative and positive way!.

There's the whole you-have-to-go-to-high-school-there-are-!.!.!. thing, and being forced to interact with people you wouldn't mind seeing dead!.
also the completely ridiculous classes, with unfair teachers [most of them aren't that bad, but my geography class was HORRIBLE!]!.

But then, there's the fact that you get to socialise on a daily basis, you can see your friends, you learn [no matter what you say] and it's good for your mind!.

I don't know about 'more' helpful!. Helpful in what!? Books are in education, friends are in socialising!.!.!.I don't see the connection!. But if it were Books or Friends - I couldn't really choose, you know!?

And School should be voluntary when you turn 16 - none before!. Because then no one but the 'goody goodies' would go to school!. Sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes kids just DONT KNOW WHAT"S GOOD FOR THEM no matter what they say!.

Yeah!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
