Maybe it exists!. Maybe it doesn't!. Knowing for sure is impossible!.

We comprehend very little of nature and the universe!. We may think we understand HOW things work, and that everything can be explained by science, but we have no idea WHY this is so and how it all came to be!. And we've been wrong even about the HOW before!. What we have right now is one possible explanation, and at the moment it may fit, but it's not necessarily the right one!. And there are scientific theories about parallel universes and dark matter and the continuity of time and unseen dimensions!.

Honestly, I think the real nature of the universe, which may or may not include the presence of a higher conscience, is probably something we're not capable of even imagining, like what the 11th dimension would look like!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's really quite simple!. A higher power or God must exist!. It is inevitable that we find one!.

The logic goes as thus: In order to prove that this God does not exist, we must observe all places, at all times, and we must do it all at once!. There are only two possible outcomes of this act!. Either we find a higher power, in which case we have proven that one exists!. Or, in our efforts to prove or disprove the existence of God, we have become indistinguishable from our definition of this higher power!. To disprove the existence of God, one must become omnipresent in order to observe all all things, all places, at all times!. In so doing, one also becomes omniscient!. And arguably, to do this, one must be omnipotent!. Thus, by the time we are capable of proving the non-existence of God, we have become our concept of God!. Thus, either we find God, or we become God!.

Therefore, proving the existence of God is inevitable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have some pretty traditional Christian beliefs!. I think that there is a higher power, because of my family's beliefs!. There are some concepts which I really can't rationalize without believing in God, too!. Things that you don't normally associate with religion at all, like very high level, complicated scientific topics (the kind that scientists struggle to reason with), all lead me to believe that an unseen hand created our Universe, and for me, I believe that unseen hand was the Lord!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Universal Father has poured out himself, as it were, to make all creation rich in personality possession and potential spiritual attainment!. God has given us himself that we may be like him, and he has reserved for himself of power and glory only that which is necessary for the maintenance of those things for the love of which he has thus divested himself of all things else!.

5!. THE ETERNAL AND DIVINE PURPOSE

There is a great and glorious purpose in the march of the universes through space!. All of your mortal struggling is not in vain!. We are all part of an immense plan, a gigantic enterprise, and it is the vastness of the undertaking that renders it impossible to see very much of it at any one time and during any one life!. We are all a part of an eternal project which the Gods are supervising and outworking!. The whole marvelous and universal mechanism moves on majestically through space to the music of the meter of the infinite thought and the eternal purpose of the First Great Source and Center!.

The eternal purpose of the eternal God is a high spiritual ideal!. The events of time and the struggles of material existence are but the transient scaffolding which bridges over to the other side, to the promised land of spiritual reality and supernal existence!. Of course, you mortals find it difficult to grasp the idea of an eternal purpose; you are virtually unable to comprehend the thought of eternity, something never beginning and never ending!. Everything familiar to you has an end!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Kitz,

This is my view:

God is supposedly an omnipotent (all powerful), omniscience (capable of knowing everything infinitely), omnipresence (present at all places all the time), and omnibenevolence (unlimited benevolence!.)

So why all the devastation, hunger, murders, bloody religious wars, and other atrocities to make this world imperfect and suffering for all the human race!?

We, human beings, did not make it imperfect!. This is a guilt trip perpetuated by the three monotheistic religions for CONTROL AND THEN POWER OVER MASSES!.

The omnipotent god can simply bat and eye and all wars throughout the world would stop; this is also the alleged omnibenevolence god!. So what does he not help humanity even if they made his perfect world imperfect!. Isn't he omnibenevolent!? Is god punishing us, holding a grudge against us, trying to teach us lessons through every suffering, etc!.!?

The overt tenets of all the monotheistic religions is: god is allegedly about love, forgiveness, grace, and blessing!. So is he holding a grudge against human beings!? No, this cannot be; doesn't fit in the definition of God!.

Because the GOD as described above DOES NOT EXIST!.

I also don't believe that god created perfection and us, the human beings, made it imperfect!. God supposedly is omnipotent and omnibenevolence!. So, where is he when his PERFECT creation allegedly was made imperfect by human beings: An incredibly immense amount of guilt trip imposed on human beings that monotheistic religions place on their believer!.

This guilt will make them submissive and blind followers!. The covert tenets of the three monotheistic religions is to control people through this guilt (e!.g!. catholic guilt) and other means to keep them submissive; controlling them makes the hierarchy powerfull!. So the covert tenets are: Control and Power over masses!.

No religious guilt, hail and brimstone, anyone not christian-heathens- will not go to alleged heaven even if he/she lived a blamless life of goodness, compassion, helping others, etc!. didn't believe in religion and was not baptised ==> NO POWER AND NO CONTROL FOR THOSE RELIGIONS!.

This PERFECT GOD made an imperfect world!? No!.

Because THIS PERFECT GOD or ANY GOD does not exist

I believe in god, because there are too may coincidences for us to be here by chance alone, and I have explored the topic extensively and see where science can explain everything including the evolution of religion, but deep down I know there is a god!. I always keep in mind that the bible was written by man about god, not vice versa, and that if there is a heaven, all suffering and goings on on Earth is irrelevant!. For example, I do not believe that the Earth was created in 7 days, but I do believe god was behind it since that is the core message!. Science explains how, religion explains why!. I do not believe in the concept of grace by faith alone because of the simple fact that if I were raised Muslim, I would have no concept of Jesus!. I have a problem when people claim that religion is stupid when they are ignorant, and I have a problem when chauvinists ignore all logic in favor of their beliefs!. To sum it up, I will quote Albert Einstein in that "Religion without science is blind, and science without religion is lame"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

God is just an imaginary being in the delusional minds!.

Debate on an imaginary being is an waste of time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

we can never kno whether there is a god or not

if there is it is definitely not the Judaea-christian godWww@QuestionHome@Com

I agree, I too want intelligent questions!. Not the same old questions that have been answered a million times!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
