Question: How can anti-theists argue that it is less rational to believe without proof than to reject without disproof!?
I mean, do they not lay claim to empiricism and logic and reasoning and unbiased thought!? False self-labeling, I know!.

Where is the logic in arbitrarily rejecting an idea, a theory, that has yet to be disproven, on the sole basis it is personally distasteful!? Isnt that a form of faith in itself!?

I mean, wouldnt an intelligent, unbiased individual, a true patriot to science, concede in the possibility!?

Its okay to not have faith "in", per se!. But any sort of positively asserted belief against the idea isnt unbiased, nor is it logical, reasonable, rational or empirical!. That is the difference between atheism and anti-theism, isnt it!? One is close-minded and bigoted, and the other allows for possibility and intellectual growth!.

But, hey, Im sure anti-theists rationalize their bias, bigotry, and preexisting faiths somehow!. What are your observations on this!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because even without proof, we can make reasoned estimates in plausibility based on what we know!.

You can't prove there's no washing machines dumped on the surface of Mars!.

I can't prove there is a washing machine dumped somewhere on the surface of Mars!.

But, based on what we know about how the universe works, and what is *plausible* it is perfectly reasonable for you to say "Until you have some evidence, I am not believing in any martian washing machines!"

The law of the exclude middle clears this problem!.
Basically a truth is something that has already been proved!. Everything else is untrue or false!. Something is either true or not true!. Not either true or false!. Those that use the true or false are throwing up a false alternative to attempt to by pass reality!. Ans scam you into submitting your mind to their religion!. Oldest trick in the book! You can't disprove leprechauns, nor can you prove them!. Same with oompa loompas, Odin, and Vishnu!.

Now, do you believe in these things, or not!?

Atheists apply the same exact reasoning to the concept of a Theistic god!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I seek the evidence that a court would need to prove or disprove a case!. While keeping an open mind, when all one has is the word of another that something exists, it does tend to lend suspicion to their beliefs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

From what I can tell, we do have free will, and each one of us is going to come up with whatever conclusions we do about the great mysteries in our lives, including "Why am I here!?" and "Does God exist!?" I believe in God and love Jesus, and I've done considerable research about what prominent atheists (i!.e!. Richard Dawkins) have to say in their world view, and most of their answers just don't work for me!. At best, I'd give science the grade of "incomplete" when it comes to providing answers, and it seems to me that it takes as much faith to believe that science might someday be able to answer those questions as it does to have faith in spiritual and religious principles!. also, how logical is it to believe that everything can be explained logically!? Do we really have any real proof that everything in the cosmos can be explained logically!. Simply because we might find it convenient to live in a logical universe doesn't make it so!. Bottom line, neither theists or atheists can prove what they do or do not believe, but based on real life experience and every other source I can find, I can make a "beyond a reasonable doubt" case that God exists that works for me!. Other people can and will come to whatever conclusions that they do, and, hopefully, we can all find a way to be kinder and more loving to our fellow human beings!Www@QuestionHome@Com

For example:
Standing next to you is an invisible pink unicorn!. It can never be detected/harmed by any instrument or sense or weapon unless it chooses to be!.

Now, prove me wrong!.

See!? How rational is that!?

Not exactly sure what u mean by anti-theist as opposed to atheist, I suppose you mean people who are actively working against religious restrictions imposed by the govt!? Most of those people probably beleived at one time and changed their minds!. most children do believe, then some grow up!.

So it's not "preexisting faith"

And I concede that it's possible that if some god existed, I could be convinced somehow (i don't know how)!. But as for now, just like I don't believe in leprechauns, or quetzalcoatl, Odin, Vishnu, Allah, Amerasu, Kokopeli, etc!.!.!. I don't believe in Yahweh either!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
