But I believe that people say everything happens for a reason cannot wrap their minds around the idea of randomness!. It's the age old question: Why do bad things happen to good people, and good things happen to bad people!? How does the thought strike you that there's no reason at all!? Things happen, and the element of randomness is sufficient to guarantee that if it can happen, it eventually will!. Some people can't take that, so they have to invent a higher reason to explain things!. "Well," they say, "I may not know the reason, but there is one; and one day it'll all be made clear to us!." Like I said, I could be wrong, but that kind of attitude strikes me as rather immature!. Things happen because they happen!. Justice isn't "Out There!." You have to make it happen for yourself!. Cheers, mate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Leaving aside whether it is true or not, the followers of karma theory strongly advocate that even incidents like the one u mentioned, ie, every single member in a family gettin murdered can also be explained by karma!. For example, it is said that mass deaths like stampedes, bomb-blasts, natural calamities like floods, earthquakes are all not just pure coincidences, infact people are led by their karma n attract that kind of death!. I am not saying such people are responsible for such disasters or such disasters occur to kill them, all I am saying is!.!.!.as per this theory it seems that they were meant to die that way / their death was timed that way as a consequence of their own past karma!. This is also called "The law of cause and effect"!. I know!.!.!. Alternatively, you could be meaning that things happen for pre-determined reasons, and not reasons decided by your own actions, as in karmic systems!.
