I thought of this because last night I bought a small coffee and a glazed doughnut and it cost me $2!.06!. I remember coffee breaks in the corner restaurant when a coffee & doughnut only cost 25 cents! And you could have a cigarette with your coffee at the table no less! (no charge for refills)!. the businessmen and farmers who met there every day at 10 AM for coffee were furious and said they would never come back!. they went to the Palomino Restaurant but eventually returned (presumably because the parking was better and the waitresses prettier) BUT they swore they would leave for good if my uncles started to charge for refills!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Do not kill time - it has no resurrection!. I would load several dozen in my wagon and pull it around my neighborhood and sell them for sixty-five cents a dozen, which was the going price!. When I was old enough to borrow my dad's car he would have me put in a dollar's worth of gas, which was more than I burned up!. I remember seeing a shiny new Chevrolet Impala in the showroom for $2,400!.00 and thinking that nobody could EVER afford it!. Like, as strange as it sounds since it was only a couple of years ago, I remember when putting $10 in your gas tank meant something!. And when answering the phone meant walking down the call to the next room!.
