Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Don't listen to them!. Obviously they don't have any business answering philosophical questions!. It is highly possible we are being "computed"!. Even if it is by God, God could still be considered a COMPUT-ER!. In fact here is what we know!. 1!. We don't know how our Universe came into existence!. 2!. The only other things we know of that even closely relate to a universe are computer programs!. (virtual realities) 3!. Computers double in computational power every other year, so in 5 to 10 years computers will be powerful enough to compute a universe just like ours!. 4!. The Universe is really just a pool of mathematical information being processed by our brains!. 5!. Our brains are computers, so in a sense we do live in a simulated environment!.
