Question: What are your thoughts on this !?
Just like the sugar disappears into the glass of water after making the water sweet, acts of charity and good work for the society should be done in anonymity!. If the sugar were to not dissolve into the water, we would’nt have felt comfortable while drinking the sweet water if sugar crystals were present in the glass in thick density!. Thus, when a person wants to be famous for doing works of charity, he or she is like the sugar crystals that did not dissolve into the water!. Do you agree!? Please share your views!.

Lovely combination of thoughts! This type of message should be circulated more and more to our public through all means of communications!. Men are not ashamed of boasting their charity works always!. We can see the name of the donor in each and every brick, electrical fittings etc that they donated to schools, temples, bus stop weather covers and other works!. Big colleges and schools are built by politicians on their name without feeling shame with the public money!. Even ordinary people should realize this fact and should refrain from showing their works to others especially the one who received it!. If we make some one to get embarrassed for accepting our help, then the beauty of help is gone in the air!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When a person tells other of their charity, the following happens:
1!. The charity benefits the same from that person whether they said something or not!.
2!. Others take notice of that person giving to charity, and are more likely to give themselves, either to that charity or to another
3!. It gives people a hero and role model!. Would Mother Teresa have prompted the levels of awareness that she did had she remained anonymous!? Don't you think that other people who acheived financial success might consider Tiger Woods' public charitable endeavors to be a valid role model!?

So no, I disagree!. The simple act of telling others of ones charitable acts does not in-and-of-itself lessen the act!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Great analogy!.!.!.!. congratulations for having thought of such a wonderful way to illustrate the point!.

Any good deed ought to be done without ego or even pride!.!.!.!.!. even feeling proud after doing a good deed amounts to taking something in return!! However, feeling proud may not be all that bad so long as it does not turn into arrogance of one sort or another!.!.!.!. the presence of pride within one's own mind can at least drive someone to do good in order to preserve the self pride, but the moment it is displayed externally, it creates various kind of issues!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you are right, there is a proverb saying "what you give by right hand, the left hand should not know " that is how a charity is to be done!. boasting spoils the true spirit!.Nowadays politicians advertise even for for providing drinking water in a pot on a road side for poor and thirsty!.

I do agree

I am I big supporter of finding the cure for cancer and I donate money every day asking nothing in return

but those who want fame in return
are greedy
and greed is in a sin if you look at religiously
