Ask yourself, what is a sound!? Whatever the scientific explanation is i'm sure it ends with something that is heard!. another pertenant question is, does anything that you cannot see, whether behind you or out of you field of vision, really exist!? if no one is around, is the tree there at all!? did it even fall!? Can you tell me for certain that there is anything behind you!? looking in a mirror doesnt' work because you are not seeing what is behind you, only an image in front of you!. So my answer is, the tree makes a sound if you say it does!. if you say it doesn't , then it doesn't!. We exist in our own private realms of reality and existence, therefore we make the rules!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It makes a sound!. It is the ultimate demonstration of man's ego to consider the possibility that something won't happen only because he isn't around to observe it!.

Sound is actually defined as a vibration of air waves!. A tree falling would certainly result in the vibration of the air around it!. To assume there would be no sound would be to assume physics doesn't exist if you're not looking at it!. It's like saying if you don't look at an ice cube, then it won't melt!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Depends on your definition of a sound!. Sounds come from vibrations, but do these vibrations have to be interpreted by a brain in order to be classified as "sounds!?" If your definition of a sound is something that creates sound waves that are interpreted by a brain, then no, it does not make a "sound!."

Yes, it doesn't make sound!. There is no sound as long as there is no observer!. When a tree falls it make vibrations those vibrations are sound in the ears of the observer!. Sound is a sensation!. So when there is no receiver to this sensation then it's no longer a sensation!. Vibrations take forms ( sound, image, smell, etc!.) depending on the nature of actions and the organs receiving those vibrations!.
Creation doesn't need to be observed to exist!. Existence, Universe and Nature don't cease their movements; movements based on energy and vibrations!. When we receive those vibrations under the forms we receive them, it doesn't mean that they are this way (in nature and universe ) just because we receive them that way through our senses!.

Not a good question, me and my friend actually had an argument over this lol!. She asked me and i said yeh it does make a noise, & she was all like how do you know!? And i said because it cant fall and not make a noise, and she was like, well if no one heard then how do you know it made a noise!.!.

Sound only exists as there is something to percieve or measure it!. If there are no ears, microphones, or other devices then it does not make a "sound"!. It will create air waves, but it's only sound if it is detected, in my opinion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

in simple language, sound is just vibrations within a range that our ear can hear!.!. if there was no one around listening the vibrations would still be created!.
