If it is merely a friendly gesture then I would reply politely with a short answer!. If they wanted to know more, I would most likely be cautious as to their intention for seeking such information!. If they are simply lonely and I have the time, then I would indulge them in a conversation but that does not require them to know my life story!.

If I am lucky enough to encounter a stranger who pose such a question to me and I recognize that person to be my soul mate, well I might make exception and chat away without reservations(though that has not happened to me so far!)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would lie and watch them to see if they picked up on it or not!.

If they did, they'd be smart enough to figure out why I lied!.

If they didn't, they'd be stupid and unworthy of knowing my life beyond it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Depends on how I felt!.

If I feel a great deal of trust in them, I might indulge them!. If I get a bad vibe, I'd politely tell them it's none of their business!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
