Well, this is a tricky linguistic question!. In a way both mean an issue between right and wrong, but then the approaches are different!. Ethics means: a set of moral principles; while morals means: a practical lesson!. So, they mean the same thing!.!.!.they are synonyms!.

That's the problem with what you said!. You said, in effect, "goodly well"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I bring pens home from work and give them to my friends!. They are meant to be given out, but only to customers!. I am not stealing, but I am defying my company's ethics!.

If I steal food to feed the poor, I may be morally wrong (stealing) but my ethics may be quite evolved!.

Ethics are a code of conduct, and actions based on some set of values!. Morals are a person's actual values themselves!.

When I say "ethically moral" it is like saying "theoretical fact" It is not impossible to say the two together, say for example if I find your moral values ethical, but the two together is very confused and nobody will get what you mean by it!.

I suspect you may have meant "highly moral" or "an ethical value" by the phrase you were corrected over!. if you meant "a moral of ethical worth" you would have understood your own dilemma better!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Morals are objective, and highly restrictive (comparatively)!.

Ethics are subjective, cultural, and completely rationalized!.!.!. a code of etiquette that has its conveniences here or there!.

Ironically, though, people arent so negatively judged in our self-righteous society for violating morals!. Ethics are more measurable, because they are more observable, and often times written!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You ask an excellent question!.

Let us first begin with grammar!.

And then jump immediately into understanding!.

Ethics are codes that have been set up by those in charge to make sure that those of us who are moral do not go to the front of the class!.

Morals are the true idententy that we all have at birth!.!. Every where!. At any time!. In any culture!.

In other words, it is always right to do right and it is always wrong to do wrong!. That is moral!.

Ethics will find a way for something immoral to be okay!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ethics and morals are the same thing!. There are ethical/moral absolutists and ethical/moral relativists!. Those who think that "the right way to live" is up to your culture are relativists!.

not much, they are both a code that one uses to govern his/her life!.

"ethically moral" could be a little on the redundant side if you ask me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you might have been corrected because it was redundant!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
