They are trying to buy you off!.

Its a "I dont regret my decision, but I respect that it has hurt you"!.

Its a show of empathy, not apology!.!.!. such that they hope they can get your permission after the fact!. Maybe to test to see if they can do it again!.

Guilt is a serious pain , people try to release guilt by offering something!. Guilt is attached to that "something"!.That does not liberate from guilt but guilt become contagious!. That is how people sharing with their belonging!. Guilt is curable with sincere forgiveness!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can give you a good example of a guilt gift!. A lady was supposed to help me do something, but backed out at the last minute!. The next day, I looked out my window, and there were 4 pots of mums on my front porch!.It means that she feels better about herself because she at least had a consolation prize for me!. How did I feel!? Well, I love the mums, but I would rather have had our task completed which has never gotten done yet!. GramsWww@QuestionHome@Com
