You need to explain why God seems evil to you!.

Edit: Thanks for clarifying!. There is evil in the world, and the origin of evil has been debated for centuries!. In the biblical book of Job the question of evil is discussed at length, and Job makes a profound statement - "Shall I receive good at the hand of God and not receive the bad!?" (Job 2:10) There are so many opportunities for beauty, joy, peace, love, and hope around us!. They are just that - opportunities!. Choices!. Inherent in the choice is the possibility of ugliness, fear, war, hate, and despair!.

In the movie "Shadowlands" Debra Winger's character is dying of cancer, and she speaks to her husband of her terminal condition and their heartbreak - "It hurts so much now because it was so wonderful then!." I look at obituaries in the newspaper and most of them are meaningless to me - I neither knew or loved the person!. But when I see the obituary of someone I know and love it hurts because I had the joy of loving that person!. Would I trade the joy of love to avoid the pain of loss!? God is neither, he's not good or evil!. These are human perceptions we have towards the life around us!. Try to understand "who God is" first!? He seems evil to you because, you are looking at the evil people who have pretended they believe in God!. He would seem good to you if you talk to nice/good people who have believed in God!. Everything that you just described that God is doing is in fact satan's doing!. You are being deceived by the enemy!. God created a perfect world, no pain, no suffering but man decided to sin and rebel and this allowed satan to have a hold on the earth!. Adam was told to "Subdue it" he did not!. god can't be just good, because god transcends dualities and good/evil is definitely a duality!.

however, god is perfect, whole, complete!. humans are not, therefore god is not all good from the perspective of humans!.
that was why eating of that tree messed us up!. we are now aware of good vs evil which separates us from god, which transcends that distinction!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
