Question: Should every action be questioned for its corresponding consequence or its matching value to moral principle!?

Well, those are the two main threads of ethical philosophy!.

I personally go with consequences rather than individual traits!. In the end, I can't tell what's going on inside a person--are you virtuous or not, I can't see it!. But I can assess outcomes!.

And a person who's wedded to a particular inner virtue or moral precept often winds up handcuffed to a particularly onerous outcome!. Consider, as a simple example, the husband who insists on a total devotion to truth, whose wife asks "does this make my butt look big!?" and who isn't able to give her the loving response!.

For a good example of how a person's devotion to a virtue can lead to some serious bad juju, read Watzllawick, "Pragmatics of Human Communication"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Unfortunately not every action is questioned or can be questioned!. If it could be, the world would be a much much better place to be in!. Personally, yes question should be, will it be useful to me and to other, will it harm now, but help in the long run!? We can make better decisions if we take things into consideration!. But we can't do that all the time, and we hope everything turns out ok!. But there are times when we cannot just sit around and question moral principles, because time does not allow it, and it is a do or die situation!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you want to go crazy and die young!

Morality is highly dependent on what you believe to be right!. What if we disagree on what is right!?

Consequences usually imply a certain amount of fear of the result, at least in everyday life!.

I prefer a more effective/ineffective approach, which is dependent on the goal!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Probably not, because if we questioned the consequences of EVERYTHING we did there would be no time to think about anything else and it would spark tons of arguments apart from anything else!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For its consequence!. Morals play very little part in life!. Life is more about duty that whats right!. Right and wrong is subject to interpretation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

!.!.!.sure!.!.!.who will question the action and what criteria, what if the action if all is right!.!.!.if wrong than what!.!.!.

!.!.!.its best all actions be made with value and moral principle!.!.!.and move on!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
