"Before I had studied Zen for thirty years, I saw mountains as mountains, and waters as waters!. When I arrived at a more intimate knowledge, I came to the point where I saw that mountains are not mountains, and waters are not waters!. But now that I have got its very substance I am at rest!. For it's just that I see mountains once again as mountains, and waters once again as waters!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

Enlightenment does not negate the pleasure of the little things!. It actually puts one more in the moment!. Truth be told, most children are far more enlightened than most adults!. They're "in the moment"!. Enlightenment is lost through the brainwashing of being told that the little things don't matter, that moments don't matter, that joy is irrelevant!. So yes, enlightened children do trick or treat!. It's lack of enlightenment that leads to thinking one is "too cool" to trick-or-treat!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Enlightened" children live precisely as "enlightened" adults do!.!.!.in the Now!. There is nothing more enlightened than children celebrating life!. They are our Wayshowers as they focus on and exult in the moment, free of judgment!. Their innocence and laughter and delight shine forth, lighting The Way!.!.!.as they move from moment to moment without attachment, fully alive and shining brightly!.

A holiday that de-mythologizes religion and turns it into consumerism is a great thing!.
