Question: Human philosophy 10 pionts!?

i am learning about human philosophy from the renaissance era!. here is a question that is supposed to be in the paragraphs below,

Who were the people that followed the humanist philosophy, what might this reveal about humanism!?

Humanist Philosophy

Throughout the Middle Ages the church in Europe held absolute power - politically, economically, and spiritually!. The Renaissance saw the philosophy, or the belief system, known as humanism!. Because written works were recovered from the classical world, there was new reform and insight!. The reform for Christianity was an insight that gave thinkers a new view of the human being, human society, and the arts and sciences of civilization!. The humanists were the sons of wealthy and powerful men, middle level merchants, and notaries, and some were women!. These people wrote letters, speeches, dialogues, plays, poems, and histories; they were philosophers, theologians, bureaucrats, and mathematicians!. All these people of different backgrounds, education, and status held to the central themes of humanism, which were the dignity of men and values of civic, or community, humanism!.

The record of humanist thought from the classical period was both Roman and Greek!. The Roman texts were preserved through the ages by trained monks who copied the words from ancient scrolls!. The philosopher Cicero was the standard for the proper style; his quotations include, “Let the punishment match the offense” and “It is not by muscle, speed, or physical dexterity that great things are achieved, but by reflection, force of character, and judgment; in these qualities old age is usually not only not poorer, but is even richer” and “Dogs wait for us faithfully!.”

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
There were several people during the renaissance that believed in Humanism!. I will name two of the most famous Humanists:

Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) He believed that man could look to space in order to find the answers to the various questions that were on people's minds during the Renaissance!.
He used his telescope to view various stars and planets in order to learn more about space!.
This made him very unpopular to the church, who believed that he was practicing witch craft!.

Another Humanist/Agnostic was Leonardo Da Vinci!. (1452-1519)
He believed that spiritual matters could not be measured by mathematics, where there for imaginary!.
He made various sketches of the armored tank, the machine gun and the parashoot!. He also was the first one to come up with the idea of the submarine and the first skin divers!.
He would also open up corpses in order to sketch what he saw from the inside!.
The church saw him as a heretic and the fact that he was illegitimate was another reason why they hated him!. They did like him for his painting abilities but they hated him for his philosophical beliefs!.

Humanism in general is the belief that man can solve problems and handle things without the help of supernatural intervention i!.e!. gods, goddesses, any deity!.
By looking at the world logically they are able to see what is wrong or what is missing from the world and fix it, to the best of their abilities!.
