Question: What is the real difference between platonic and romantic love!?
What exactly are the feelings we have that seperate how we feel about our friends and family from how we feel about the people we are in love with!.

Without bringing sex into it, what are the feelings you have for your partner that are different to feelings you have for platonic loved ones!?

Yes,see what you mean! But although Platonic love engages the heart, romantic love makes you feel the to the outer limits of your soul & very being!.
You feel previously undiscovered highs & lows!.The necessity to be in the company for that person is overwhelming!.It affects your body chemistry too!.In the early stages you have bright fevered eyes and can lose weight easily!.Yes,many of our poets have described it as an illness!.In a sense it is!.
But,if requited, what a delicious one!You know then that true addiction that doesn't come from drugs or alcohol!.
With Platonic love, you may well miss the person!.But this doesn't leave the huge abyss in your heart that Platonic love inflicts!.

I tell you,you will know it immediately! It is not always sexual either{but much better when it is!.}

Incurably Romantic Ginny!.Please find me no antidote!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I could give you a whole essay here, using different words to describe the differences, and it will most likely sound like something from a sappy romance novel!.
I don't think it can be explained in any great depth at all!. I think that once you fall in love with a lover, you will find your answer!.
Love is a very easy, yet such a complex thing that can't really be explained in any way!.
No words can really describe what you mean because truly, you don't exactly know what it is!.
You can try as you might to describe it but you will always feel that there is something missing that doesn't do your feelings for someone (lover or family) justice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You have to bring sex into it because that is the only difference!. Between actual sex and lust, the desire for sex, the brain releases a ton of chemicals that make you long to spend time with the person!. This bonding is based in sex and is what make romantic love stronger!.

Keep in mind though, that people can have sex without a great deal of bonding, if the sex is unwanted or as impersonal as it can be the feelings may end there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Platonic relationships are when you love someone but you just can't see yourself in a sexual relationship with them!. You can't see yourself raising a family and going to bed together each night!. There is something missing that doesn't make it REAL!.

Romantic love is when you look at someone and just KNOW that they were put here for you!. You share the same beliefs and morals!. You love waking up with them and wouldn't hesitate to raise a family with them!. They are everything and want nothing in return!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Family: unconditional bond and feelings!.
Friends: mutual bond but not necessary feelings, i!.e!. you can go days without them and are still fine!.
Love: mutual bond and feelings, or an acquirement of such when you are in love!. You want to devote to make the person feel happy, rather than just want to make the person smile for a minute!.
When you are in love: hard to define the feelings because they are mostly uncertain while so certain that you somehow think you can't live without the person!. It is not true!. But it hurts badly if you don't have what you acquire because the devotion is not unconditional!. It is expected to be returned, with some !.!.!. profits!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Love varies over the course of its life so I guess all answers will think differently!
Thinking back though (to when it was raging passion and not life partner stuff), the main difference was the idea of not spending time with my love was inconceivable - I would do anything for a moment with them!. Even with very good friends I wouldn't get really upset if I couldn't see them for a day or two (or week/month) where with the love of my life minutes away from him seemed wasted and pointless!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well I′m in love, perhaps platonic, I wish the best for him, he is my prince, the owner of my heart and the only who make me feels butterflies in my stomach!.
About friends I love my friends, I respect them and I feel sad when something is not good in their life, I want ever the best for them!.
About my family, I feel them very close to me, I′m comfortable with them and I feel sad when they are sad and happy when they are happy!.
