Why would you distance yourself from the truth that prompted you to make a certain decision!? It sounds like you're having a tug-o-war between your heart and your head!. My toughest decisions in life always involved a conflict where my emotions wanted one thing, but my mind was certain of another!. Ultimately, one or the other is going to win!. But sometimes, that isn't the end!. I recall one decision I changed and it was probably the single-most important action of my life!. I've now been married to her 22 years! I came very close to messing that one up!.!.!.
What I'm saying is there is nothing wrong with changing ones mind!. It was my facing the truth that helped me change my decision and ultimately do the right thing!. Looking back, it was my "certainty" about the truth that was faulty!. Granted, the truth was something clear-cut or black and white, but my perception of the truth actually did change!. Had I chosen to put the truth out of my mind and press on, I would have ultimately done the wrong thing!. I came to realize the havoc to my heart and soul was really trying to tell me what the right decision truly was!.
I'm not saying you've made a bad decision!. Tough decisions are just that - tough!. But don't bury the truth or alter it, use it and every other tool (heart and soul and beliefs) to test your decision; over and over if you feel you need to do that!. If nothing else, you'll challenge your conviction to your solution and if it's the right one, you'll gain strength from it!

difficult yes i suppose, but i never second guess the decision!. emotions can trick you mislead you!. what you know is stronger!. working out in the gym, after a while it can get tough, it's not easy, the weights start to feel real heavy, or in a marathon you want to win, it's not easy, you get really tired!. but you mustn't give in to your feeling of tired, you must not give up like your body requests!. because you know the end result is truly what you want!. in the end the outcome you really want is to have overcome the marathon, to have improved your strength, or body weight, or whatever it is!.

what you feel like doing and what you should do, are often different!. but not always!. and in the case you are referring to i think they are!.

there are extreme cases where people can fall into that trap too, where for example a woman can feel love for a man despite he beats her, or abuses her, mistreats her!. but her emotions still tell her to love him and stay with him, perhaps fear might also play a role in this!. but she should decide to leave him and stick with it despite her emotions!.

i think milder cases are the same but milder!. your emotion of love doesn't take into account all the things you know!. emotions are not decision based, but thoughts and decisions can take emotion into account!. the mental step is the last step, the decision step is the final step, the biggest step!. it can look at all factors!. this is the one you should trust most!.

put your hand in cold water first, then hot water it feels different than warm then hot!. but your thermometer doesn't lie and your mind knows it, trust your mind, not your senses!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Love is the great clarifier illuminator in its absolute phase, it is rather infatuation makes one blind to reality!. Emotions are reactions to a given scenario and it is each person’s task to be master and govern his emotions than be led by them!. Truth is a clear concise realism!. Or it is a truth to be reached by understanding and study!. You cannot change a truth, for if you can it is not a truth but a presupposition, an opinion, a point of view!.

Life’s journey is hazardous and contrary we reassess our mindset and thinking, our circumstance and goals, we cannot in any way change truths otherwise they would not be truths as such!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If the truth I have learned is accurate and in any way, affects my decisions to be taken, I will stick with it no matter what!. If the truth, needs to be held in, like a thought to my mind, I will stick to it no matter what and keep quiet!. I only distance myself from hypocrisy of any shape and form!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

So difficult to answer that! For me, there is no other force greater than Love!. Love hurts are the worse!. I have not faced any such challenge in my life yet, I am only 25, but theoretically, if I ever come to such a situation, I think I would try to find a small window in that truth!. A window through which I will try to see a !.!.variation of this truth, some truth that would not cause so great pain!. Yet, all this is theory!.!.!. I don't really know how I will act when I will face the real situation!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd rather take the "pain" than live with a lie, standing by what I know is right and true might not be easy, but it's what I need to do to be able to live with myself!.

yes!.!.!. very hard!.!.!. so hard that we had to take a few tries to finally break the cycle!.!.!. and accept the pain!.!.!. placing some distance seamed to help!.!.!. and then time as always was the real healer!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
