Question: What is mankind's ultimate goal!?

I think we should try to spread out across the galaxy and eventually the universe in order to ensure that life will exist for as long as there in energy in the universe!.!. Ideally it'd be nice to also figure out if it is possible to travel between universes in order to allow life to exist forever!. Evolution will cause humans to change into a bunch of different forms!.

The purpose of life!? To make the universe a little bit more interesting!.

How can anyone set any single ultimate agenda for the mankind as a whole!? We are all separate individuals with differing ideas and objectives!. In view of this, the only sensible common goal could be to live together in peace and harmony despite our differences, so that we can maximize unified cooperation amongst ourselves to reap the best possible common benefit for all in terms of knowledge, prosperity, health, security and above all, happiness!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'll begin with my bio, and then give my opinion!.

I was born in Germany, on an American army base, so I'm an American Citizen!. I've lived in the U!.S!. 20 out of my 22 years of life, mainly in Michigan with a recent move to Philadelphia!. My religion is of my own creation, with influences from Discordianism, personal visions/experiences with unexplainable things, and a bit of Existentialism to spice things up!.

In my opinion where should we be headed!? Personal enlightenment!. In the quest for personal enlightenment, things like fear, anger, jealousy, etc!. fade away as we strive for self fulfillment, which leads to happiness, peace, and tranquility!.

As far as humanities purpose for existence, there is none!. We are here, there is no reason for it except that it has occured!. To try to give a reason to our existence places us above everything else in the universe which exists for the fact that it exists!.

And what is our mission!? Well, I would think that would be the same as what we should accomplish, but as far as an overall mission, there, again, is none!. We should live because we have been given life, should think because we have been engineered to think, should die because everything must die!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Our ultimate goal is to be united with our Creator!.

Our human nature demands that we have a life worth living!.

Worth requires purpose, for example, we throw things away that serve no purpose!.

The ultimate is purpose to produce healthy offspring!. The same for any other disgusting animal!.

But we are exceptional in that we can think, we have a conscious where other animals don't!. Because of this, we have a lot of idiotic psuedo intellectuals such as yourself who have gone so delusional as to believe they are here for some higher "purpose!." You don't mean anything at all!. Understand, accept, and remember this!.

I hate how you and I have both used we in referring to humans!. Humans need each other, but I hate that need!.

Edit: Your question about religion and country is idiotic and irrelevant!. We created religions in an attempt to understand the life given to us!. Religions are nothing more than complex delusions!. Country affiliation is just as idiotic!. As animals, we all belong to the soil beneath that--something that no one can own!. But, I suppose to make you happy: I'm atheist and an Afghan American!.

edit: i know :) i was using my "ignorance" as a method to prove a point!. i agree and understand what you are saying!. i grew up in a orthodox muslim family, and will point out that my creed is extremely differnet than the creed my family raised me in!. though an atheist, i still believe that i live a muslim life!. what makes me not a muslim is my rejection of god (which is the center that islam branches out from)Www@QuestionHome@Com
