Question: Can an omnipotent God create a rock that He can't lift!?
Because He's not omnipotent if He cant make one, but He's also not omnipotent if He can't lift one He's made!.!.!.either way He's not omnipotent, not that God needs to be!. But a lot of folks seem to think of omnipotence as an attribute of God!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

But why would God want to make something that huge anyway!. That's a failing of man!. I think it may stem from penis envy!. lol
Besides God is supposed to be infinite and how can anything be bigger than infinite!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah, yeah, yeah!. I get it!. If you are all powerful can you create a task beyond your power!.

The question doesn't really address the actuality of power, it's a quibble over a definition!.

If you were the absolute master of energy-space-time it would be unlikely that you could construct a structure beyond your capacity to deconstruct!.

But to put on your pointy wizard hat and say this 'limitation' somehow renders foolish the notion of an omnipotent God, is a bit disingenuous!.

Let's exclude self referentially from the notion of omnipotence!.
Are we happy now!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Congratulations, you've just proven the logical impossibility of omnipotence!. Of course, that's never stopped anyone from believing before, because by definition, faith is belief regardless of or in spite of logic and evidence!.

Similar arguments can be constructed against omniscience (knowing everything) and omnibenevolence (being all-good)!.

No, it is not a real question!. Everything created is made of atomic substance -
a form of energy!. The creator of universes can certainly change substances
back into energy and have no need for lifting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is just sophistry!. Can God make a statement true and false at the same time!? I don't think anyone's going to give up their faith if they have to concede that he can't!. lol!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This confusion arises because of a perceived separateness of the creator from the creation!. All creations are within God!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Both subject and object are imaginary!. The question should have started with 'Could' instead of 'Can', in which case the rock could rightfully claim that 'God's throne!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

If He commands the rock He can't lift to lift of it's own accord then he wouldn't have to lift it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
