Question: Grey squirrles, what to do with the deceased !?
Hi,

I am an animal lover, but have been told by the UK Government that I should lend a hand in disposing of imported "vermin" in the form of grey squirrell jobbys, that are knocking our natitive black & red squrrels out of habitat!.

So I used my air-rifle the other day, to take out a couple of cute looking vermin!.

I did not like doing it, But we must protect our native species!.

Trouble is, the local council will not have them in the black, green, brown bins etc with a dead vermin in it!.

My allotment is a positive graveyard of mice, squirrels, etc!.!.!.!.

So where the heck am I supposed to rid myself of dead pests

Any notions !?

Shooting and killing grey squirrels is a crime; I assume this is a joke!?

The way forward with squirrels is for the authorities to stop chopping down coniferous forests and other habitats conducive to the survival of reds, to cease the endless building of supermarkets, housing, business parks, etc, etc, etc, and concentrate on regenerating the natural habitats of red squirrels!. Over population can be approached with sterilisation or with quarantining selected numbers of a species; killing is not only inhumane, it may be counter-productive: the excess of food sources for the few left over causes population explosion, as has been seen with foxes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't bury them! Make dog and cat food out of them if nothing else!. The council will take bones and offal!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
