Question: Is Infinity the absence of time!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
What an obtuse question!.!.!.

hmm!.!.!.

I dont think the notion of infinity could be understood without time!.!.!. What is time but stored memory of succeding images!.!.!. So, without memory, without the capacity to detect change, I dont think we could fathom that there is an infinite amount of things more than we see at that particular moment!.!.!.

But I guess if there was no time everything would be constant and thus eternal!.!.!. or infinite!?

EDIT:
OMG not at all!!! I meant to say *abstruse*-- I'm a terrible speller!.!.!. I actually realy enjoyed your question!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nope, we cannot descend into timelessness in order to comprehend infinity!. The paradox of Time-Traveling would result in the all times happening everywhere, but not an unmeasured eternity!. We must remember that time is only a means of measuring the movement of moments in the eternal span which we call infinity!. Much like the notion of "Ruler, Yardstick, or Tape-measure" applies to the measurement of distance, Time is the ruler which we apply to the different phases of life!. For a tool which is exactly the same "thing" as a Yardstick used on progression (Timewise) and not distance, the explanation of How infinity would move without our tool for measuring it is difficult without talking about Time!. I think infinity starts from a center and has space!. When you have those two things, a center and space, there is bound to be time because space implies objects and matter, energy and motion!. So I think infinity implies time and space!. Only a vacuum wouldn't have time or the absence of thought that is creating time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No! Part of infinity is the complete and/or total extention of time (experientially and actually)!. If we could experiance infinity, one would have the ability to not be limited by the fear of or experiance of being limited by time!. Time as we experiance it now is limitless, but not alterable!.!.!. even if we no longer existed, time would continue!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For someone who could observe all the events of infinity in an instance of his own inactivity, he would feel himself frozen - or in slow motion - while the world moves on frantically in high speed!.

According to Einstein, time is relative, and I tend to agree!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Eternity" is the absence of "Time"!.

"Infinity" is a very long dull marriage!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That is not a good characterization of infinity!. But time is finite, not infinite!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

how can time be absent!?

infinity is not absence of time, it is rather the never ending presence of time!.
Www@QuestionHome@Com

Time is related to matter!. Infinity is a mathematical and metaphysical concept!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, infinity is time!.
Life is the things that devides it and makes it smaller than it isWww@QuestionHome@Com
