I believe we are here to experience the countless emotions and physical feelings present in the life of all human beings!. To learn to love, put others above ourselves (growing beyond our own selfish ego's)!. To experience sorrow, death and losses!. Ultimately to gain a greater understanding that this life (0-70 or so years on average) cannot be IT!. I feel that there must be more and refuse to live my life as the only experience of life I will endure!. But rather as the beginning of an amazing eternal life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We are here to REMEMBER what brought us to this incarnation!.

However, the conditioned ego identity - beliefs that developed during early life in reaction to the narrow environment, are VERY persistent and defensive, and it is challenging to transcend the pattern of thoughts, perceptions, feelings and reactions that are a result!.

But, unless we do, we cannot remember who we are, i!.e!. "what" we longed for (loved) that brought us here!. Without that reunion with Self, life is chaotic and valueless!.

Paul, I don't know but Kurt Vonnegut said not long before his death that he had figured it out!.
The purpose, according to Kurt was to just fart around!. Go to the post office and buy some stamps, stuff like that!.

And in Breakfast of Champions, he had Kilgore Trout say that he was here to be the eyes and ears of the creator and to report back to God on what he was seeing!.

But I did read on a restroom wall once, "nobody knows and you can't find out"!.
