Freedom is relative to the ideals, beliefs, ethics, and communal influences of society!. Freedom cannot be total, ie: you are not free to escape gravity and fly around your house, you are bound by nature and the physics of nature!. A socialistic society, although more "tense" than a capitalistic society, can be seen as freedom from having less opportunity!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Freedom is more a state of mind more than a political reality!. Though freedom of body can be pretty nice too!. You can be 'free' sitting in a gulag even though it might not be very comfortable!.

Freedom is never absolute so it's all about shades of grey anyway!. The best way to be free is to free your mind and allow others to do the same!. (clinging too strongly to any belief system can and will limit your freedom)Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can not be truly free in any society, probably you can not even be free on your own because of how societal norms formed your mind!.
