I don't think there is a worldwide or universal governor!. Circumstance, self-interest, coincidence, and a host of other factors all contribute to this crazy, amazing world we live in!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First and foremost I say Financial reasoning governs the world!. So that would entail Free will, although not justly divided amongst the masses!. But those that control the worlds $$$ make the decisions that affect the course of our lives and the decisions we make are based on the butterfly effect of the rich!.

Secondly the world is governed by sex!. Even though at first thought this too is free will, it is indeed based on a deep, and yes, uncontrollable urge that leads otherwise good moral people to act out of character!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Fate!.

Because there is a "cause" to everythign we do and say!. We are not independent of "cause" in this world!. Something causes us to be angry, to love someone, to hate, to cry, to be wierd, to kill, to be happy to be depressed, to drive, to drink, to be confident to be great, to be crap etc etc etc!. There is a cause to EVERYTHING!. Like a domino effect!. Everything is interlinked!. So your next move, in fact even yuor current move whilst you are writing out on this keyboard is pre-determined because somethign has "caused" you to do it!.

We are all on a road to spritual fullfillment,!. Its a long and painful process but we all get there (in the end)!. This goal you cannot and will not avoid, due to causalityWww@QuestionHome@Com

Who says the world / universe is governed!?

Assuming it has to be governed by either fate or free will, I'd wager my bananas on fate!. We make choices as we see fit, we do what we want to do!. But do we really get to choose what our wants are!? Let's say we have the choice between picking out a red crayon or a blue crayon!. We get to choose the one that we like the best, but did we really get to decide which one we liked more!?

Maybe some day we will come up with a psychoactive chemical that will completely remove all barriers to free will and open us up to actual free will (or at least a higher level of free will), then we can see how little control we actually have over our lives!.

One thing I am certain of is that we know next to nothing about the nature of reality, and whatever else might also exist out there!. There is a whole other world between the lines that is unfathomable, to me at least!.

Einstein's Credo is a very good read!. Third paragraph!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Fate!. Short version: The reality that we can perceive and comprehend (which I also believe is exponentially fractional) is a honeycomb of chain reaction events that occur in spherical vacuum!. Like two snakes at each others tails!. Basically, my belief is based on a bunch of math!. Try the Tao of Quantum Physics!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Fate is merely a reason for the way the world is governed!. We do not decide fate, but we will it out!. Free will leads to our fates and so without free will you cannot have fate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Fate lands us with predicaments which we must decide how to handle!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
